    Background

    The Troupe des Personnes Handicapées Twuzuzanye (THT) is a Non-Government Organization, created in 2004, legally registered for the first time in 2009 with an idea of doing advocacy on disability Right and currently it has 86 members with 49
    females and 37 male and 30 youth clubs with 400 Theaters & artist’s clubs. THT are very interested to contribute on Eradicating poverty in all its forms, especially among our members and almost are youth with disability.

    In recent years, the Government of Rwanda strengthened its interventions towards supporting persons with disabilities. In 2011, the government established the National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) to coordinate disability inclusion efforts in the country. More recently, in May 2021, the cabinet approved a national policy for the inclusion of persons with disabilities,

    reaffirming Rwanda’s strong political will for disability inclusion. Through interventions of NCPD and partners, various milestones have been achieved particularly on streamlining policy frameworks to be disability-inclusive.

    According to fifth population and housing census -2022 on the persons with disabilities survey, there are 391,775 people with disability in Rwanda in a total resident population of 13.24 million inhabitants, representing 3.4%. There are slightly more females

    with disability (216,826) than males (174,949) (3.6% vs 3.1%).

    The Eastern Province has the highest number of people with disability (109,405) followed by the Southern Province (98,337).The Western Province has 88,967 people with disability, the Northern Province has 60,336 and City of Kigali with 34,730. Nyagatare District which has the highest number of people with disability (20,631), followed by Gasabo (17,585). Nyarugenge in City of Kigali is the District with the smallest number of people with disability (8,206).

    THT seek this opportunity to full fil it responsibility through Improved lives of youth with disabilities and contributing to the poverty Eradication among its members while supporting youth with disabilities by improving their socio-economic conditions through introducing them to the career of Audio and video productions.

    The project will not only develop their skills in Audio and video productions with which they will earn some income to improve their life, but will also be a good approach to help them advocate for their rights and solve their own problems related to poverty,
    exclusion, violence, and many other issues that bring additional vulnerabilities to their lives, where it will benefit more than 20 youth with disabilities in one year.

    The General objective

    The overall objective is to improved socio-economic status for youth with disability through introducing a new careers of audiovisual production in Bugesera District

    The Specific objective:

    •  Offering a tender for supplying of office materials, audio and Video Equipment
    •  Searching’s a competitive supplier of office materials, audio and video Equipment’s.
    Expected results/outputs By the end of this tender:
     office materials , Audio and video Equipment are available for trainings

    THT would like to purchase of office materials, audio and video Equipment with the following technical specifications:

    How is this activity monitored (particularly by supply) and evaluated?

    EVALUATION CRITERIA

    All competent firms/companies interested in supplying the above mentioned Audio and video Equipment’s should meet the following criteria:

    •  Be a registered as an official company in Rwanda and in possession of full registration document and TIN number;
    •  Have the tax clearance certificate provided by Rwanda Revenue Authority(RRA);
    •  Possess Electronic Billing Machine (EBM) to provide official receipts (sample of EBM invoice provided in the past);
    •  Copy of certificate of registration for VAT;
    •  Company profile (not exceeding three pages)
    •  Be able to supply or provide requested goods and services required on time;
    •  Have the commitment to submit the most economically advantageous which includes the reasonable price, delivery time and good quality)
    •  Ability to supply all goods with the provided technical specifications;
    •  Have experience in doing similar work (at least 2 references/proofs to be attached to the bid)
    PAYMENT MODALITY

    PAYMENT MODALITIES

    The successful bidder will be paid in two quarters based on the purchase order issued by THT. All the payments are subjected to be made through the bank transfer to the Account Number and in the company name of the supplier after presentation of invoices and EBM receipts.

    In case further clarifications might be needed during the period of the bid analysis; THT may require this in writing to tenderers and responses might be in same channel of communication. No unsolicited communications from tenderers will be accepted before or during the evaluation period and any queries relating to this request for tender should be directed to thttwuzuzanye@yahoo.fr

    HOW TO SUBMITY YOUR APPLICATION

    CONTENT AND HOW TO SUBMIT QUOTATIONS

    The quotations should be in English or Kinyarwanda languages and be made in Rwandan Francs. Interested suppliers/proposers should send their signed proposals (technical and financial) in well -sealed envelopes marked ‘SUPPLY OF AUDIO AND VIDEO EQUIPMENT”.

    All applications documents should be submitted either in hard copies to THT office based in Gasabo District-Remera sector or sent electronically to thttwuzuzanye@yahoo.fr not later than Tuesday,18th July,2023 at 4pm.

    No unsolicited communications from applicants will be accepted before or during the evaluation period and any queries relating to this consultancy should be directed thttwuzuzanye@yahoo.fr

    than 5 days after the submission deadline.
