    Job Description

    11. Develop media handling plans for all upcoming events and announcements in the Ministry including arranging press conferences and drafting press releases and speaking notes; 12. Attend national and international audiences and media events of the Minister, and/or the Permanent Secretary and take any necessary follow - up action;
    13. Regularly gather information, populate and manage the Ministry communications planner and feed information to the Office of Minister on a weekly basis;
    14. Attend weekly communications planning meetings chaired by the Minister; 15. Daily media monitoring and preparation of media reports for the Minister and senior officials; 16. Draft content for the Ministry website and upload content; 17. Act as a first point of contact for media inquiries by phone and e - mail; Maintain a communications contact database;
    18. Develop the Ministry’s annual media plan; 19. Support wider cross - government communications work as required; 20. Maintain good relations with both public and private media; 21. Performing any other duties as may be ascribed to him/her by Ministry’s authorities.

    2. Promote, support and strengthen research based innovations in the sector

    • Monitor scheduled absences such as holidays or travel and coordinate actions to ensure the staff absence has been adequately covered off to ensure continuity of services;

    Job Description

    1. Project and Policy function
