    Job Description

    Main duties and Responsibilities:

    • Design, assess and advise the District authorities on matters pertaining to specific master plans;
    • Work with concerned staff, in drafting of local urban design guidelines for specific areas;
    • Conduct analysis prior to any issuance of a construction permit, regarding the design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time and advise accordingly;
    • Conduct periodical on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with pre-approved architectural plans;
    • Evaluate the aesthetics of buildings vis-à-vis the District master plan prior to the issuance of occupation permits and advise accordingly.

    Job Profile

    A0 in Architecture, Civil Engineering

    Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:

    • Extensive Knowledge in Construction Permitting
    • Organizational Skills;
    • Communication Skills;
    • Judgment & Decision Making Skills;
    • Time management Skills;
    • Team working Skills;
    • Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an Advantage
