Historical background of RWOTA
RWOTA
is a professional association formed in 2015 founded by Occupational Therapist
in Rwanda. It is a nonprofit organization working with different partners
including the University of Rwanda, Handicap International Rwanda, Occupational
Therapy Africa Region Group, World Federation of Occupational Therapy, Rwanda
Allied Health Professions Council, and many others to promote quality
Occupational Therapy for the people of Rwanda

The main activities to be carried out by RWOTA in the
project include:

Working conditions:
The project staff team is based in Kigali at RWOTA Head
quarter’s office with rarely movements in Rutsiro, Nyanza and Kicukiro
Districts. In his/her daily activities, he/she will technically support the
account of the project and will closely collaborate with RWOTA members.

Responsibilities and Tasks of the project officer:

Represent RWOTA in all
coordination and sector meetings as well as related events organized by
MINISANTE, UR-CMHS, HI, etc.
·
Work for the successful
implementation of project activities and organization of meetings, and ensure
good conditions for the implementation of the project.

Develop work plan of the
project activities in collaboration with partners;
·
Carry out the activities of the
action under his/her responsibility in accordance with the project document and
the budget provided in the agreement;
·
Strengthen and manage relationships
with MINISANTE, UR-CMHS, HI and other partners;
·
Provide his/her technical expertise
for the implementation of the project activities;
·
Actively participate in the
implementation of activities throughout the project cycle, especially in the
monitoring and evaluation process
·
Develop and compile monthly,
quarterly and annual reports to be submitted to the organization and key partners.
·
To develop projects proposals
for their submission to potential partners for funding.
5. Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Public health, project management;
Occupational Therapy, social sciences, Business administration, or related
field
-
Master degree with above education back ground is added advantage;

Experience in managing a team;
-
At least two years of experience in project management, in the field of
disability and working with the organizations of PWD or professional
associations
6. Competences:
-
Strong knowledge and understanding of project management;
-
Ability to communicate clearly and strategically with internal and
external stakeholders as a representative of RWOTA. This includes effective
advocacy, negotiation and representation skills;

Strong skills in planning, monitoring and evaluation of the project’s
activities;
-
Effective communication skills in English, French and Kinyarwanda;
-
Capacity to build relations with others
-
Good skills in developing and delivering advocacy messages.
7. Responsibilities
and Tasks of the project accountant:
-
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine
or maintain record of assets,
liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial
activities within an organization.
- Advise management about
issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets,
preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to
actual costs.
- Analyze
business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and
obligations, to project
future revenues and expenses or to provide
advice.
8. Experience
of the Project Accountant
- Proven
knowledge of the GoR financial management system (IFMIS) is a requirement,
knowledge in other
financial
software (TOMPRO or Sage) shall constitute an advantage;
- Have
a strong oral and written communication skills in Kinyarwanda, English and French;
- Computer
literate with proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power point,
- Ability
to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Being
ready to start work within 30 days from the notification of employment;
- Be
of proven moral integrity
9. Competences
of the project Accountant
- Be
of Rwandan nationality;
- Hold
a bachelor’s Degree (A0) in Accounting or Finance;
- Possess
relevant professional experience of at least 7 years in Accounting and Finance
within reputable
public
organization, a government project or a private organization highly recognized;
- Working
experience with projects
