    Prime Insurance Limited is an insurance company, established in 1995 by Rwandan investors, a licensed general and life insurance company authorized by the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR).

    The Company is seeking to recruit a highly skilled, self- motivated and experienced person to fill the following post:

    POSITION

    Job Title: Underwriting Officer
    Supervisor: Underwriting Manager
    Duration :Open-ended
    Salary :Competitive package based on qualification and experience
    Closing Date Wednesday, November 27th, 2018 (5:00 PM, Kigali time)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To explain to customers the cover provided for various insurance products offered at HQ front desk office and/or on phone,
    • To ensure that premium rates are firmly applied before issuing policies together with invoices,
    • To monitor and manage the file for Fire, Miscellaneous & Motor Risk portfolio,
    • To ensure all information related to underwriting are available and complete (proposal form, list of contents, valuation report,
    • and photograph),
    • To recommend clients the additional/optional covers to a standard fire policy for a comprehensive insurance,
    • Preparation front desk weekly production Report to the line Manager for verification,
    • Preparation of quotations for motor and non-motor business based on Prime underwriting policy,
    • Make sure all documentation relating to underwriting are available and filed properly,
    • To carry out any other task entrusted to him by his supervisors.

    QUALIFICATION

    Bachelor Degree in insurance, statistics or any other related field; CII qualification or equivalent is an added value,
    A least 3 years’ working experience as Underwriter,
    Knowledge of both speaking and writing English and French,
    Rwandan by nationality,
    Age should be less than 35
