DEPARTMENT: CORPORATE AND INSTITUTIONAL BANKING
Job Purpose:
Retain & maintain institutions relationships / accounts i.e. NGOs – local & internal, DFIs, Not for profit associations, Financial Institutions, Cooperatives, Parastatals, Projects, etc. Grow institutional banking portfolio in all aspects and increase non-borrowing clients’ base and transactions volume. Effective relationships management resulting in optimum clients satisfaction, retention and increase of share of wallet through cross-selling and up-selling of the Bank’s products.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Market intelligence on continuous basis to identify opportunities for market / business share increase;
- Maintain a strong leads pipeline and achieve a high conversion rate throughout the year;
- Grow the institutional clients base by onboarding new relationships;
- Existing clients’ wallet sizing for offering new products & services and increase share of wallet;
- Cross-sell and Up-sell ALL Bank’s products with special focus on Digital and transactional products;
- Achieve B/S and P&L with a specific focus on low cost deposits growth;
- Extended outstanding service to clients in a pro-active manner and beyond their expectations;
- Adhere to and always deliver per the Bank’s customers’ service charter standards;
- Manage complaints in collaboration with business support units for timely and effective closure;
- Enhance clients’ loyalty to ensure high retention and lower churn rate levels;
- Comply with all Bank’s policies and procedures and other laws & regulatory requirements esp. accounts’ opening requirements and KYC/AML/STR procedures;
- Create and maintain good rapport with all stakeholders dealing with Institutional clients or prospects;
- Assess, on regular basis, service delivery performance and propose to management enhancements and/or new products or services ideas for consideration;
- Provide leadership to RMs and business support units team in areas of expertise;
To qualify for this role applicants must have the following:
- A degree in Business, Finance, Banking or a related fields;
- 3+ years’ experience in Relationships Management within a financial institution or similar sectors;
- Proven skills in marketing & sales of financial products & services
- Deep knowledge of banking services, transactional and digital products in local & regional market;
- Business development skills and passion for customer service;
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills and presentation capabilities;
- Demonstrate ability to adequately represent the Bank’s brand and values at all time;
