    ADVISOR TO HoD OF CONSERVATION

    Job Description
    •Proactively provide strategic advice to the Head of Conservation Department;
    •Support Conservation HoD to manage strategic partnerships;

    Specific tasks and responsibilities

    •Represent the HoD at meetings and respond to correspondence as may be assigned/on behalf of the HoD;

    •Liaise with the RDB’s administration and external stakeholders to collect and analyze/classify information to report to HoD.
    •Communicate HoD’s decisions and monitor their implementation within the team and to other partners.
    •Works closely with the HoD in support of issues that require specific follow - up and handles special tasks as assigned.
    Job Profile
    •Master and bachelor Degrees in Business Management/Administration, wildlife management and a minimum of 5 years related working experience or Bachelor degree in the above with a minimum of 8 years related work experience.
    •Experience in Tourism and Conservation value chains management
    • Good Understanding of the Rwandan Investment climate, preferably knowledge in Tourism and Conservation.
    •Analytical, problem - solving, leadership and critical thinking skills.
    •Flexible with ability to work well with both internal and external clients
    •Good presentation skills, and ability to communicate well with various audiences, including staff, management and external clients.
    •Self - starter with leadership skills in order to take charge in facilitating the office needs
    •Sound computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products
    •Proven ability to write in a clear and concise manner and effective oral communication skills
    •Proficiency in both written and spoken English language and Kinyarwanda. Knowledge of French and any other language will be an added advantage

    Job Description

    - Implement plans in order to achieve individual targets for increased investments
    - Day to day implementation of investment promotion policies and activities as well as advising on policies and measures aiming to improve the business environment.
    - Develop and implement tangible strategies on investment promotion
    - Use industry specific knowledge, advising the management on how best to position the country as an attractive investment destination.
    - Handle sector specific inquiries, inward missions, including organizing and managing one on one individual business meetings between potential investors and private sector /public institutions. Thereafter writing and submitting mission reports to her/his immediate supervisor.
    - Follow up Investor leads and pipelines for conversion to registered and operational investments
    - Work as a team player and actively participating in investment promotion events i.e. conferences, seminars, road shows and workshops aiming at marketing the country to potential investors.
    - Track investment promotion activities in other countries
    - Ensure quality investor inquiry responses
    - Keep investors informed on the stage of advancement of their inquiries and follow up with the respective officers
