    The overall goal of ARC’s program in Rwanda is to improve the
    wellbeing and self-reliance of the displaced refugee population from DRC and
    Burundi by ensuring the provision of basic services (adequate health care &
    nutrition, shelter, water, sanitation & hygiene, HIV/AIDS prevention &
    treatment), improving food security and enabling economic recovery in six
    refugee camps located in Rwanda.

    ARC Rwanda is
    looking for experienced, qualified and committed Nurse-Pharmacists to join its
    team of medical staff in the various program implementing sites in Rwanda. The
    Nurse-Pharmacists, to be assigned to either Stock or Dispensing Pharmacies will
    contribute to the programs service delivery, supporting effective ordering,
    stocking and control, dispensing and reporting on pharmaceuticals in the
    various ARC-run Health sites. The Nurse Pharmacists will receive routine
    technical support and guidance, reviews and feedback from the ARC Rwanda National
    Pharmacist. The Nurse Pharmacists reports to either the National Pharmacist or
    Site specific Medical/Health Coordinators, depending on assignment.

    MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

    PRIMARY
    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    · 
    Data collection, tracking and
    analysis and reporting on distribution or stock pharmacy stocks, consumption
    and replenishment.

    · 
    Contribute to efficiencies in stock
    and distribution chain efficient stock-keeping and stock turnover including
    monitoring drugs utilization, and therefore input into re-order and supply
    management.

    · 
    Applies ARC pharmacy management
    tools correctly ensuring stock management procedures for health products (stock
    cards for movement tracking, supply request book, register for special drugs
    distribution and register for Health Center materials).

    · 
    Verifies medical prescriptions
    according to protocols for pharmaceutical management

    · 
    Maintains stock management and
    best storage practices for health products according to WHO and National
    protocols

    · 
    Analyzes health product
    consumption trends and provides technical guidance to clinical teams for better
    drug management.

    · 
    Write and submit requisitions
    of essential drugs and other medical supplies on monthly basis, tracking the
    same with Kigali national stock pharmacy.

    · 
    Maintain record keeping
    procedures of health products stock as per ARC pharmacy regulations, including
    daily updating of stock cards and scheduled inventory reports (monthly/weekly)

    · 
    Maintain organization of
    pharmacy space, including ability to recall/locate items efficiently.

    · 
    Maintain knowledge and capacity
    to manage both Stock and Clinic Pharmacy, including following standard ordering
    procedures, maintaining buffer stock, coordinating with Kigali-level warehouse,
    and following storage protocols

    · 
    Perform any other duties
    assigned by the supervisor.

    EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS &
    KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    · 
    Minimum of A1 qualification in
    Nursing is required

    · 
    Minimum of three (3) years
    direct experience in nursing in a clinical setting in a low-resource, fast
    paced setting, working with displaced or special interest persons

    · 
    Experience in pharmaceutical management
    and logistics

    · 
    Effective Oral/writing skills
    in Kinyarwanda and English; fluency in French is an added advantage.

    · 
    Analytical and organizational
    skills/experience with health data

    · 
    Skills and experience in using
    electronic Management Information System 
    (eLMIS)

    · 
    Demonstrated knowledge of
    Health Information Systems, Nutrition protocols, HIV protocols, and Primary and
    Reproductive Health Care concepts, including Rwandan Ministry of Health
    protocols and guidelines

    · 
    Experience working in
    protracted refugee situations.
